Quotes (10)

In regards to transparency:

Everything said must be true but not everything true must be said.  – Craig Groeshel

In regards to disciple(ship):

Becoming a disciple means to love in action.  Being a disciple is also a tool of grace to stop sin and begin restoration.  – Pete Briscoe

In regards to relationships:

Say the hard things before it’s hard to say things.  – Brian Tome

There ya go.

  1. Wise words from Groeshel… hmmm… I love way “begin restoration” sounds when I say it outloud. Tome’s quote clashes with Groeshel…hmmm….

    Here are mine:
“Words, like eyeglasses, blur everything that they do not make more clear” – Joseph Joubert

“So much has been given to me. I have no time to ponder that which has been denied.” – Helen Adams Keller

“What does he say?’ he asked.
‘He’s very sad,’ Úrsula answered, ‘because he thinks that you’re going to die.’
‘Tell him,’ the colonel said, smiling, ‘that a person doesn’t die when he should but when he can.”
― Gabriel García Márquez, One Hundred Years of Solitude

    Love ya –

    • Groeschel speaks of transparency in front of others. Tome is dealing with personal relationships. I don’t think the quotes are at odds really.

Joubert: Okay already. I’m convicted! I’ll try to communicate better. 🙂

Keller: Hmm. I’d like to know the context.

      Marquez: Deep.

      Thanks for reading. You too!

  2. There is not a difference in transparency and personal relationship – true. Hellen Keller was defblind – so to me – it is inspiring that she values all that had been given (opportunity to study, write, teach) SO MUCH that she doesn’t even think about her disabilities. 🙂
